Overall, Green Basil was excellent. The waiters/waitresses are super welcoming and friendly, making it a go-to spot for Thai food. I recommend the fried rice and Panang Curry, as they were both very flavorful with perfect spice. Next time I come back, I am going to try the cool drinks they have to offer.

I just wanted to take a moment to praise this restaurant, every time I go I love it more. I came in yesterday for a quiet Mothers Day dinner by myself, having not been for a year or so, and had a lovely meal. The atmosphere is so warm and peaceful, the staff is prompt and welcoming, and the food is always delicious. Took a plate to go for my stepmom, and she was very pleased with her meal as well. Highly recommend, it’s a great little gem in Vernon Hills.
